Our Land
The farm’s covered liquid manure pit holds 9.2 million gallons of manure. It is used as organic fertilizer on the fields for the crops in the spring and fall. GPS technology is used for manure application records in order to precisely apply fertilizer based on crop needs.
We raise most of the feed for the herd on 2,200 acres of crop land growing corn, beans, alfalfa, barley, Italian rye grass and other forages.
Yield and application data is collected with several different computers on board tractors, combines and sprayers to better manage inputs including herbicides, fertilizers and manure. All of this allows us to maximize yields while protecting the environment.
